Delete Account & Data

We respect your right to privacy and data control.

If you wish to stop using Bloom, you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. When you delete your account, we perform a permanent wipe of your profile and shared history from our active servers.

Option 1: Delete via the App (Recommended)

This is the fastest and most secure method. Deletion through the app is instant and irreversible.

  1. Open the Bloom app on your device.
  2. Go to the Settings tab (gear icon).
  3. Tap on Account.
  4. Select Delete Account at the bottom.
  5. Review the warnings and slide the toggle to confirm.

Note: If you are the last member of a couple, this process will also wipe all shared memories, doodles, and chat history associated with your couple space.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Web

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your account, you can request a manual deletion. We will verify your identity via email before proceeding.

Please send an email from the address associated with your Bloom account (Apple ID or Google Account email) with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

Manual requests are typically processed within 7 business days.

What data is deleted?

When you initiate an account deletion, we remove the following categories of data:

👤 Profile info (Name, Avatar)
📸 Shared Memories & Photos
💬 All Chat History
🎨 Doodles & Coloring Pages
🎵 AI Love Songs
🗓️ Shared Events & Milestones
📍 Location Tags
🎮 Game Answers & History

⚠️ Important: Subscriptions

Deleting your Bloom account does not automatically cancel your Bloom Plus subscription if you purchased it via Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You must cancel your subscription through your device's subscription management settings to avoid further charges.

Data Retention

Once deleted, your data is immediately removed from our active production databases. Encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days for system recovery purposes; these are inaccessible during normal operations and are purged automatically.
